Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, GCFR, (born 20 November
1957) is the 14th Head of State and current Nigerian President. Prior to his
role as President, he served as Governor of Bayelsa State and Vice President of
the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Jonathan, an Ijaw, was born in what is now Bayelsa State to
a family of canoe makers. He holds a B.Sc degree in Zoology in which he
attained Second Class Honours. He holds an M.Sc degree in Hydrobiology and
Fisheries biology, and a Ph.D degree in Zoology from the University of Port
Harcourt. He worked as an education inspector, lecturer, and
environmental-protection officer. He joined the political arena in 1998.
We are wishing the President of the Federal Republic Of
