The Voter Registry Department of the Independent National
Electoral Commission, was gutted by fire yesterday morning. The fire started
around 9 in the morning and lasted for almost an hour. It was finally
extinguished by the Federal Fire Service and the National Emergency Management
Agency. No life was lost in the fire and INEC said they didn't lose any vital
data, only office equipments.
