UNIABUJA Shut Down Indefinitely following student's unrest

The University of Abuja has been shut down indefinitely following student’s protest on campus.

The protest followed the inability of the school authorities to meet up with the time limit for the accreditation of 5 faculties in the institution earlier suspended by the National Universities Commission.

A statement signed by the University’s registrar, Bello Modibbo said the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof James Adelabu in conjunction with the school’s senate approved the closure due to the threat to life and peace in the institution.

He therefore ordered students to vacate the campus immediately.
