Four students killed in Nassarawa State University protest



Four students have allegedly been shot dead by soldiers during a protest by students of Nassarawa State University, Keffi , early this morning.  The students after 2weeks of lack of water hit the roads and school vicinity to protest. The school authorities called in soldiers to restore peace but it backfired resulting to the death of four students.


 Nassarawa State Police Command spokesperson, Michael Ada, confirmed the killing of the students but denied that they were shot by police officers.He said the commissioner of police in the state was already at the scene.
 The Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Almakura, have advised the students of the Uni to vacate the school premises with immediate effect. The school has been shutdown till further notice.
