Kukere master Iyanya and his manager, Ubi Franklin, are in police mess for not performing at Nite of a Thousand laughter shows held in Port Harcourt and Benin after receiving the sum of N1.7 million from show organiser, Opa Williams.

Iyanya missed both shows according to him 'cause he got to PH late but sources said he traveled to PH alongside rapper Olamide and comedian Bovi, on the same flight paid for by the organisers.
Iyanya and his manager was later invited by policemen from the Mile 3 division in PH on Wednesday over the case filed in by Opa Williams.

His manager,Ubi Franklin confirmed that he made himself available at the station and gave an account of what really happened.

“Yes I was at the Police Station this morning, we have decided to return all money paid to us, it’s not a problem. We were paid to attend and perform at the Benin and Port Harcourt shows but we missed both due to reasons beyond our control. We missed the Benin gig because we were in Ghana as at that time and we arrived pretty late for the PH gig. We however had issues with initial payment from the show organizers also.”
