Lesbian brutally beaten by girl friend's brother 'cos he didn't approve of their relationship

Malory Owens, pictured left, was attending a Thanksgiving dinner in Mobile, Alabama, with girlfriend Ally Hawkins, center, when the family affair turned violent. The 23-year-old suffered numerous facial lacerations and a broken nose in the attack, at the hands of Travis Hawkins Jr, Ally's Hawkin's brother who didn't approve of their lesbian relationship. Travis took Malory aside after dinner and attacked her. He knocked her down and pummeled her with his fist. He has been charged with second-degree assault and was later released on bond.
