World's Longest Coma Patient Ever Passes Away After 42 Years

Edwarda O'Bara was a high school student in 1970(14yr-old) when she fell ill, threw up her medicine and slipped into a diabetic coma. She died on Wednesday in Miami at the age of 59, after spending four decades in a coma. Her family ( her sister Colleen and mother) stayed by her side, caring for the ailing woman and keeping her company for the past 42 years.

  2. That's what family is all about. RIP. And to the family. I will say take heart. God knows why it had to happen but one thing am sure about is that even in her coma. She felt loved.
