CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA SET TO LICENCE MORE BANKS BEFORE ENDING OF 2013



Central Bank of Nigeria says it will licence more banks before ending of 2013.

Director corporate communications,mr, Ugochukwu Okafor who disclosed this with news men during a seminar in Ogun state.

Okafor said, the interest of several investors,particularly foreign base to set up banks in the country, was an indication of renewed confidence in Nigeria ecomomy.

He further explained that the Apex bank was currently encouraging investors to set up regional banks,adding that the various intervention in the mortage,discount houses,microfinance and others were part of the financial inclussion policy.
